[New York, NY] April 20, 2015 - The Museum of Chinese in America (MOCA) is pleased to announce the program for the Fourth Annual Celebration of Community Heroes dinner. Celebration of Community Heroes honors the outstanding contributions and accomplishments of individuals, companies, and organizations that inspire hope and help advance our local community. This year's honorees are Y.C. Chen of J.T. Tai & Co. Foundation, Dr. Betty Lee Sung of Asian American/Asian Research Institute, City University of New York, Veronica Tsang of Cathay Bank, and Jennifer Chin Dussich of JCC Maintenance Supply LLC, who will be receiving the Young Professional of the Year award.


Taking place at Golden Unicorn Restaurant (18 East Broadway in New York City), the event will begin with a cocktail reception at 6:00 pm followed by the dinner and awards program at 7:00 pm. Festive attire is encouraged. The evening's emcees will be WNYW-TV Fox 5 newscaster Arthur Chi'en and CBS 2 news anchor Cindy Hsu. There will be a featured performance by Ray Lee and Catherine Ricafort.


This celebratory evening is instrumental to help raise funds to support education, exhibitions, research, and cultural initiatives and to enable MOCA to contribute back to the community and advance its core mission. This year, MOCA celebrates its 35th year anniversary. MOCA has been serving the community from its modest beginnings at the original 70 Mulberry Street location when it was founded in 1980.


The event's co-chairs are Thomas C. Ahn, Jonathan Chu, June Jee, Sandra K. Lee, and Dr. Jonathan K. Ligh.
