LES History Month Special: Picnic on the Pier

Sun, May 4, 2014 @ 1:30pm - 3:00pm

On May 4th 2014, you’re invited to come celebrate both the first annual LES History Month, and the launch of the second season of Paths to Pier 42!

In conjunction with LES History Month, participate in family friendly activities all afternoon long, 12pm-4pm.

From 1:30pm-3pm, join the Museum of Chinese in America for a glimpse into the vivid world of Chinese opera. Learn how colors and patterns on Chinese opera masks reveal a character’s personality. Then, design your very own opera mask to bring your character to life.

Also on the schedule:

- Enjoy live music and dance with a free salsa lesson.
- Learn about river ecology and participate in a waterfront bioblitz.
- Pack a picnic or sample food offerings from local food trucks.

Free, all are welcome!
