The Inexplicable Redemption of Agent G
A Special Performance And Talkback With Playwright Qui Nguyen And Cast Members
by Qui Nguyen
Directed by Robert Ross Parker
Ma-Yi Theatre in association with Vampire Cowboys Theater Company
It's been 10 years since Agent G has last been in Vietnam where his family and friends were all viciously slain. He's now come back looking for answers and a good bit of revenge, however forces are at hand trying to stop him as well as the playwright from finishing this brutal task.
Qui Nguyen is a Co-Artistic Director of the OBIE Award-winning Vampire Cowboys. His scripts include Soul Samurai; A Beginner's Guide to Deicide; Vampire Cowboy Trilogy; and the hip-hop musical Krunk Fu Battle Battle. He is a proud resident playwright of New Dramatists, an alumnus of Youngblood, and a current member of the Ma-Yi Writers Lab and Ensemble Studio Theatre.
This special performance will be followed by a special talkback with playwright Qui Nguyen and several cast members from the production, moderated by Dan Bacalzo, managing editor of Theatermania.com and lecturer at the NYU Drama Department.
