Erlina Yeo Terwelp is a Managing Director at the Columbia University endowment. She is the Co-Head of Columbia’s Private Asset Classes where she oversees investments in private equity, venture capital, real estate and real assets. She is also a member of the Portfolio Construction Committee, where she plays a role in asset allocation and risk management decisions.
Prior to joining Columbia, Erlina was a Director at Galapagos Partners, a multi-family office, where she managed the alternatives portfolio across public and private asset classes. At Galapagos, she also oversaw direct deals and served as the Interim CFO for a retail company in the portfolio. Erlina was previously a private equity professional at L Catterton and Tengram Capital Partners in NYC, where she focused on control-oriented middle market buyouts in the consumer space. She started her career as an investment banking analyst at Citigroup in NYC and has interned for PepsiCo’s M&A group.
Erlina received a BA in Economics cum laude from Columbia University. She also received an MBA from Harvard Business School. She currently lives in New York City with her husband Matt and her daughter Vera.
