Jonathan Lee is an Accounting Partner in the Merger & Acquisition Transaction Services practice of Deloitte.  He is a member of the Special Acquisition Services group, a dedicated group providing merger and acquisition accounting and tax services to leading private equity investors. Jonathan has over 16 years of experience in mergers and acquisitions and public accounting. He has extensive transaction experience in advising financial and strategic buyers on due diligence, accounting structuring and financial reporting aspects of transactions across multiple industries, domestically and internationally. Prior to this role, Jonathan was an accounting consultation manager in the Accounting Services Consultation Group at Deloitte’s National Office in Wilton, Connecticut. Jonathan’s technical accounting expertise was primarily focused in the areas of business combinations, share-based compensation, and financial instruments accounting. Jonathan is originally from Deloitte’s Los Angeles office, where he served as a member of the Audit practice from 1999 to 2005. His clients were primarily Fortune 1000 multinational SEC companies in the media and entertainment, technology, and consumer business industries. Jonathan has a B.A. in Business Economics and a Minor in Accounting, Summa Cum Laude Latin honors, from the University of California at Los Angeles and is a Certified Public Accountant in California, Connecticut, and New York. Jonathan is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and California Society of Certified Public Accountants, and a life member of the Sierra Club.
