Public Weekend Gallery Talks

Learn about MOCA’s core exhibit, With a Single Step: Stories in the Making of America, in this one hour educator led gallery talk that provides an overview of Chinese in America from the 19th century to present day. Items in the Museum’s collection are used to highlight the major themes of the exhibit.

Public gallery talks begin at 3pm every Saturday in the Museum lobby.

Public Weekend Walking Tours

MOCA’s themed walking tours give visitors an inside look at life in Chinatown, past and present. Educators will stop at 8 to 10 different sites, landmarks, and historic streets and use historical photographs and illustrations to explore the neighborhood's changing history. MOCA offers 2 public walking for groups: Chinatown: A Walk through History and From Coffeehouses to Banquet Halls. Seasonal walking tours are also available.

Public walking tours begin at 1pm every Saturday in the Museum lobby.
