Culture Pass Presents: MOCACREATE at the Flushing Library

Join educators from the Museum of Chinese in America, as they lead Queens Public Library attendees on a journey of discovery. Learn about the Dragon Boat Festival through arts and crafts:
- Drumroll, Please: Can you hear the cheering, drums and crashing waves? It’s almost time for the race! Learn the significance of drumming in a dragon boat race and then create and embellish a simple drum to practice your drumming skills.
- Splash and Swirl Paddle Dragon Boat Design: Using shaving cream and food dye, decorate dragon boat paddles inspired by the whirling waves of the water. This is a program for ages 5-12, all are welcome.
During drop-in MOCACREATE workshops, MOCA educators lead families through arts and crafts steeped in Chinese American history and culture.
This is a program for ages 5-12, though all are welcome. First-come, first-served. Registration not required.

Culture Pass is a program for cardholding patrons 13 and older of Brooklyn Public Library, New York Public Library and Queens Public Library.
