MOCACREATE: Build a Bright World with Teaching Artist Yu Rong
May 2, 2026, 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm
Let’s get ready for the opening of our upcoming special exhibit, Ed Young’s Bright Worlds, by exploring the visual storytelling used by this award-winning illustrator. What bright world will you create? Share your story by sprinkling salt over glue to create textured characters and imaginative elements. Then add watercolor to bring your ideas to life in vivid color. Browse our collection of Ed Young books for inspiration!
Paint, build, craft, and collage with us! Inspired by the museum’s exhibitions and local artists, MOCACREATE explores different themes every month. MOCACREATE workshops are designed with families in mind, but all are welcome!
