Patricia Pei joined the Board of Trustees of the Museum of Chinese in America (MOCA) in June 2009. She currently works for E.V. Thaw and Co., Inc., a company of private art dealers, specializing in masterworks from all periods. Ms. Pei has had over thirty years of experience in advising and helping to form collections for individuals and museums. She is a collector of 18th and 19th century European drawings and watercolors, 19th century oil sketches, and Contemporary Chinese works on paper.
Ms. Pei is also currently the President and Founder of The American Friends of the Shanghai Museum (New York), and serves on the boards of The Freer Sackler Gallery (Washington, D.C.), The Thaw Charitable Trust (Santa Fe, New Mexico), and Shen Wei Dance Arts (New York). She is also a member of The Metropolitan Museum of Art (Asian Friends), The Morgan Library and Museum (Fellow), and The Asia Society (Patron’s Circle).
Ms. Pei received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Barnard College.
