Everyone has a story waiting to be told! Drawing inspiration from your own family history—as well as the rich and layered journeys of Chinese immigrants to the United States—design and assemble a movable paper puppet that shares a story near and dear to you. Bring your puppet to life by adding vibrant colors and props that hint at the places, memories, or traditions that shape your story. Maybe your puppet carries a favorite food, family heirloom, instrument, or personal keepsake. What story will you tell through the puppet you create?!
