Have never run a marathon before? Did not get accepted from the non-guaranteed entry drawing in March 2022? Don’t be afraid. Run with MOCA!
The Museum of Chinese in America (MOCA) cordially invites you to attend a Virtual Information Session on Tuesday, May 10, 6:00 – 7:00 PM EDT to learn more about MOCA’s 2022 TCS New York City Marathon Team.
During this session, Yue Ma, Director of Collections and Research and Team MOCA Marathoner, who ran the Boston Marathon in mid-April, will share her running stories and training experiences. We will also discuss more details regarding runner fundraising commitment and suggest tips about how to raise awareness on the tireless efforts and significant achievements Asian Americans have made especially during these unprecedented times of the pandemic and the recent surge in hate crimes against the AAPI communities.
Most importantly, we will articulate what it means to run for MOCA to help secure and build a permanent home for the Chinese American narrative in New York City!
If you’re ready to join Team MOCA as an official charity runner, SIGN UP now since spots are limited and allocated on a first come, first reserve basis.
