MOCA has a growing collection of over 85,000 artifacts and ephemera that document the Chinese American diaspora including audio/video recordings, books, documents, oral histories, photographs, textiles, etc. dating back to the early 1900s. While we would love to display each and every item in the museum, it is an impossibility due to space constraints and object condition. In this section we will highlight select pieces from our collection and briefly discuss their significance to the history of our organization and the larger American narrative. We hope that these items will pique your interest and drive you to learn more about the history of the Chinese in America.
