MOCA has a growing collection of over 85,000 artifacts, photographs, printed materials, textiles, and oral histories that document the history and stories of the Chinese American diaspora. While we would love to display each and every item in the museum, it is an impossibility due to space constraints and object condition. This section highlights select pieces from our collection and present brief stories about the history of the museum and larger American narrative that they help to tell. We hope that these collection highlights will pique your interest and inspire you to learn more about the history of the Chinese in America.
